 BOARD MEETINGS (2007-2008)

Board meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of the month, except when there is a conflict with the school vacation calendar.  These meetings are usually held at 7:30 a.m. in meeting room  2 at the Administration Building  There are no meetings scheduled in the months of June and July.

GRANT COMMITTEE MEETING (2007-2008) 

The Grant meetings is held between the grant request deadlines and the next Forest Hills Educational Board Meeting.   At these meetings, the committee decides which grant requests they will recommend for approval at the following board meeting in  May 2008.

50th ANNIVERSARY GALA  

Update

Forest Hills Educational Foundation Donates $43,000 to the District

On June 19, 2006 , Foundation President Dan Lynn presented the Forest Hills Schools’ Board of Education with a check in the amount of $43,000 to be used for immediate instructional needs.  

This donation is in addition to $5,000 that the Foundation awarded in the fall for staff development and $34,000 awarded in March for academic instructional materials through its annual grant application process.  

The $43,000 donation was made possible as a result of the 50^th Anniversary Gala held at Meijer Gardens in March of 2006.  Thanks to the generous support of businesses and people in our community, the Gala raised over $86,000 for educational needs throughout the Forest Hills School District . Part of these funds has been awarded for immediate instructional needs and the remaining dollars have been allocated to the Forest Hills Educational Endowment Fund to help provide a secure source of funding in the future.  

Once again, the Foundation would like to thank all who support our important work of raising funds to help support continued academic excellence in Forest Hills Schools.
