- Is the Forest Hills Educational Foundation an "arm" of the
School system?
NO. The Foundation is a separate, non-profit organization. A
Board of Trustees comprised of 14 community volunteers meets on a monthly
basis. These individuals donate their time and expertise to community
fundraising opportunities, which support educational programs beyond the
district's budget. This organization is not part of the Forest Hills
School District nor its Board of Education.
- What schools receive Foundation Grants?
Any school in the Forest Hills Public Schools System
may apply for F.H. Educational Foundation Grants.
- How much money does the Foundation award in Grants each
year?
10% of The Foundation's unrestricted funds on July 1 is the total grant
dollar amount that will be awarded for the year. (July
1 is the beginning of our fiscal year)
- How does someone donate money to the Foundation?
Send any and all donations to :

Be sure to include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
- Are only teachers allowed to apply for Foundation Grants?
No, in the past, we have given grants to the F.H.
Cultural Arts Committee, PTO's and other school sponsored groups.
- Does the Foundation ever need volunteers?
There are many opportunities for volunteers and the Foundation is always
looking for people to help support their mission.
